Products

The perfect product requires the perfect mood for a buyer.

The standard snap and shoot photo for products won’t tell a story. Setting up the composition and style of the shot while weaving your message throughout it will make your products feel alive. The beauty of creating these stunning product shots were essentially where my love of photography truly began.

Portraits

I’ve taken portraits of artists, musicians, models, and everyday people.

I consider lighting, composition, body language, energy, and the message my client needs to achieve. I go as deep as eye positioning, shoulder angles, waking up for a shot during sunrise or even putting myself at risk if I have to. I look for synergy between the surroundings and my subject. Getting people to feel comfortable during a photo shoot is a specialty of mine.

I love to bring out the best in people.

Industry hero Tham Khai at Miami Ad School

Ogilvy’s Global Executive Creative Director and Miami Ad School Board Member Tham Khai Meng inspired the students during the #IndustryHero series.

He gave a passionate speech about persuasive creativity and offered his guidance to many students. I had the pleasure of receiving great advice and photographing the man himself.

Martial Training

Training in Martial Arts has defined who I am.

Anuar Morad is one of my first friends at Miami Ad School. We hit it off based on our interest in Martial Arts. On Mondays, Anuar and I would cross train in unarmed and armed combat techniques.

I asked him to show me his exceptional swordsmanship work and we did this photoshoot together. It's with a bokken - a wooden training sword. Our next shoot was with a real katana.

The dramatic look and energy of the first image is what it feels like to have a sword in your face. Distracting. The rest of the photos are sword stances to intimidate your enemy during battle.

Lifestyle Photography

I capture moments to relive them.

Most of these photos were taken from my Samsung S4 on Instagram because it’s lighter than my Canon T3i. But I shoot everyday in order to practice my craft.

Long Island Winter

This was my favorite outdoor session, as I love everything about the outdoors.

Experimenting with flash and testing different exposure levels can drastically change a photo. In this case, even reflections off the frozen lake can brighten up your subject.

The ability to master light makes a major difference in your photography.

Swiss Boarding

Shutter speed is everything.

Sitting on the ground of a busy New York street I photographed my Swiss roommate praying some crazy New Yorker wouldn't run me over.

The first photo demonstrates a fast shutter speed. You can tell by the stillness of the water splashes.

While contrasting the next photo with a slow shutter speed that captures the subway train speeding by and the street lights illuminating the night. Though, another shot captures the subject, skateboard, and water splashes with a flash. At the end, the photos were masked together to create a beautiful composition.

Over & Under Manhattan Bridge

My first photoshoot with a brave model.

The day was foggy and raining but that didn't stop Sølvi from getting out and into her element. It was bravery on her part, as most girls would hate to ruin their hair.

These photos were taken under the Manhattan bridge and on top of the Brooklyn bridge. The contrast in them is so amazing because all the shots were taken on the same day.
